FIRST PLACEMENT

SENSORY BAGS ACTIVITY PLAN

The children were centered around the table, in which the Ziploc bags with the gel, the shaving cream, the glitter and the paint inside were already located so that the children can begin to touch them.

The children touched the bags with gel and shaving cream, put them close to their faces and felt the textures. They appeared to understand the concepts of sensations. During this experience, the children learned the liquid sensation of the gel and the texture of the shaving cream, apart from seeing through the bag the different figures that were inside. They develop different skills such as

  • Sensory Development
  • Fine Motor Skills
  • Explore and develop their creativity and imagination
  •  Self-control

There were things that could've been added to make the activity more suitable, but as my first activity I was really proud!

JUMBO BLOCK PLAY ACTIVITY PLAN

The children in the class have been showing a growing interest in building towers with different objects. As this helps the children increase their fine motor skills, gross motor skills and cognitive development, I decided to implement a block play activity. Since I wanted to make it more appealing, I decided to bring with me "jumbo blocks" made from different sizes of boxes; in this way, the children were able to build up different things while reinforcing the concepts of different sizes.

The children engaged in the block play activity. They showed interest in discovering different ways of positioning the blocks and tried to make a big tower. They also answered questions like, what do you see on the blocks? Or, do you want to build a tower? they counted 1 and 2, identified the different sizes big or small, and imitated their peers during the activity, they helped each other and tried different things. They develop different skills such as
